Run the jobs

Schedule every install, service visit and pickup in one place

Drag jobs onto crews by day or week, let recurring service schedule itself, and give crews a phone app to complete the work. Approving a completed job drafts its invoice.

A crew board you can drag around

  • See crews by day, split into morning and afternoon, or by week, with board, map and split views.
  • Drag a job to assign it, reschedule it or change its order. Unassigned jobs wait in a Needs Crew row.
  • Crew leads get an email for each assignment and a reminder the day before an install.
  • Alerts flag unassigned jobs that are due soon and crews carrying five or more jobs.

Installs, service visits and takedowns

Every job is a work order that moves from draft to scheduled, in progress, complete and approved. Quick work order templates preset the tasks and equipment for the jobs you run most.

Recurring service that schedules itself

Set a service work order to repeat weekly, twice a week, on weekdays, every day, or on chosen days every one, two or four weeks. Visits are created six weeks ahead. Pause or end a schedule anytime, and it ends on its own when the job is completed or taken down. Service visits can scale their quantities to the units on site and stop when the last unit is picked up.

From completed work to an invoice

Approving a completed work order drafts its invoice from the billable tasks at the job’s rates. Approving an install starts rental billing from the day the crew actually installed. See rental billing.

The crew app

Crews open SiteRento Field Crew in their phone’s browser, with nothing to download from an app store.

  • Clock in at the start of the day and out at the end.
  • Open directions to the site, check off tasks, adjust quantities and add field notes.
  • Attach photos from the camera or gallery. Photos taken without signal upload when the phone reconnects.
  • Collect the customer’s signature, and require one before a job can be completed.
  • Completing the job updates the equipment on site. See inventory tracking.

Route order by drive time (beta)

With fleet routing turned on, Optimize Day puts each crew’s assigned stops in the order with the least drive time, using Google traffic data, and records an ETA for every stop.

How it works for your trade

Temporary fence

Schedule installs, takedowns and remobilizations as work orders, and have crews record what was actually installed. See temporary fence rental software.

Roll-off dumpsters

Schedule container deliveries and pickups by crew and day, and see them on the map. See dumpster rental software.

Portable restrooms

Run recurring service on the schedule each job needs, bill every visit when it’s approved, and stop the schedule when the units come back. See portable restroom software.

Frequently asked questions

Do crews need to install an app?

No. The crew app runs in the phone's web browser on iPhone or Android. Crews sign in and can add it to their home screen.

Can service visits repeat on a schedule?

Yes. Set a service work order to repeat weekly, twice a week, on weekdays, every day, or on chosen days every one, two or four weeks. Visits are created ahead of time and stop when the job is completed or taken down.

Can I require a customer signature?

Yes. Turn on the signature requirement and crews must collect a signature before they can complete a job from the field.

Does it notify my customers when a crew is on the way?

Not yet. Crew leads get an email for each assignment and a reminder the day before an install, but customer notifications aren't built in.
